Prep School - Haircuts, Field Training and more!

The male trainees had the opportunity to choose which haircut they desired:

"zero" also known as completely bald.

"one" which means 2mm of hair all around, or

"high and tight" which means "one" on the top and "zero" on the sides.

FTX is the land navigation exercise that culminated todays land navigation training block . Trainees broke into groups on Black Memorial Field and were given maps and compasses and way points (coordinates) to navigate to.

TCCC- is Tactical Combat Casualty Care and is a 7 hour course.  This was developed by the U.S. Department of Defense Health Agency (DHA) Joint Trauma System to teach evidence-based, life saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battle field. They learned how to apply a tourniquet, pack and bandage a wound, load and carry a litter , and more.  During the lecture there were some yawns and half-mast eyelids, but also a lot of alert, inquistive and smiling Cadet Candidates. Webguy was also able to capture candid shots of the Trainess eating Meal-Ready-to-Eat (MRE) picnic lunch.
