2022 Prep School Exemplar Dinner

Every year, the Prep School class chooses someone who exemplifies the type of person they would like to emulate. This year, the class chose Carolyn Benyshek for her character and leadership both in and out of uniform.

The dinner was held within the Falcon Club. Cadet Candidates were treated to a sophisticated meal and live music courtesy of the Air Force Academy Band. Carolyn Benyshek gave a speech and provided words of encouragement for the CCs. After the event, Carolyn Benyshek stayed to talk with the CCs and offer further advice.

Colonel Carolyn A.M. Benyshek is the former Director of Admissions at the U.S. Air Force Academy.  She was responsible for recruiting, evaluating, and selecting the nation’s top students to meet the future officer needs of the United States Air Force.

Colonel Benyshek entered the Air Force in 1987 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.  She has served in a variety of space operations, engineering, acquisition, and staff assignments associated with early warning, global positioning, and intelligence systems.
