Prep School Labor Day Weekend Day 1
USAFAPS started their Labor Day Weekend Events last night at 1900 down at the Husky Soccer Field. To start the evening off, there were 3 food trucks that provided some tasty choices. Biggi’s Little Bavaria gave the cadet candidates a choice of Brats, schnitzel, hunter sandwich or smothered fries. The High Grades Foods truck had jerk chicken tacos and curly fries. The Kona Ice truck served Hawaiian shaved ice treats with many choices of flavors.
While the CC’s waited for their food, they could play some cornhole, giant jenga, athletic equipment was also provided for entertainment. It was a good time for the cadet candidates all around with many big smiles, which was evident, even under all of the face masks.
The evening wrapped up with a screening of the action-packed movie “Bloodshot” staring Vin Diesel. Popcorn and snacks were served to be enjoyed while viewing the movie on a newly provided outdoor big screen.
The weekend funded by the AOG/USAFA Foundation with the help of a dedicated group of preppie volunteer parents. All the money came from donations from preppie parents, approximately $20k was raised to help keep the CC’s entertained during their weekend in on campus.
The weekend will continue with something to do during each day of the three day holiday weekend and we will be there, continuing our photo coverage.
