Prep School Exemplar Dinner
At the examplar dinner, the Cadet Candidates heard from their Exemplar, Michelle "Mace" Curran. Curran is a former pilot with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds and was the first female lead to solo in the team's history. However, Curran did not grow up with any plans to become a pilot. While in Air Force ROTC, Curran watched jets take off at Tindell Air Force Base which made her decide to attend pilot school. Curran went on to fly combat missions around the world, all while overcoming steep learning curves and self-doubt along the way. Today, she focuses on inspiring others through her organization, Upside Down Dreams, encouraging others to push past their fears and pursue their goals.
