Reunion weekends are always great and strengthen the connection of the Long Blue Line. September 29 was particularly special as four classes descended upon the Terrazzo for their reunions. Graduates spanning four decades – 1973, 1983, 1998 and 2003 – took in cadet squadron open houses, briefings from Academy leadership and of course, a good meal and fast service at Mitch’s.
As a result of so many grads eating there, the AOG and Foundation supported and coordinated the purchase and delivery of enough pizza to feed thousands of hungry cadets. For those interested in pizza logistics, it took 3-5 pizza stores working together on the same timeline to make the right amount of pizza.
This is an example of some of the morale-boosting, cadet well-being opportunities that are made possible by parents, grads and friends supporting the Air Force Academy Foundation, and specifically the Air Force Academy Fund. Yes, you’re supporting academics, military training and character and leadership development, but you’re also supporting some fun.
