This week, we’re highlighting the USAFA Triathlon Team, a dedicated group of 40 athletes who train, compete, and support one another on and off the course. The team includes three international members from Australia, Spain, and Canada, bringing a unique global perspective to the program.

Leading the team is Coach Sara Randolph, now in her fourth year with the program. A veteran endurance athlete with 25 years of racing experience and 32 Ironman finishes, Sara brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the team. Known for her humble and gracious leadership style, she is especially excited about this year’s squad and the large number of new members joining the program.

The team is led by captains Aubrey Lynch and Jayden Randolph, who help foster the strong sense of community that defines the group. When asked what he enjoys most about the team, Jayden said, “It’s given me another family and support off base.” His response reflects the culture Coach Randolph and the team’s leaders have worked hard to build, where athletes find not only training partners, but lifelong friendships and a strong support network.
